Dömötör Pintér

Dömötör Pintér bassDömötör Pintér was born in 1979 he received his diploma at L. Eötvös University of Sciences in 2002, majoring in applied mathematics. He accomplished his musical studies in the conservatoire of Szombathely, majoring in trombone and music theory. Later he carried on with his vocal studies privately at Peter Palinkas, Annamária Schmiedt, Kornélia Bakos and Erika Markovics. He has been a professional singer since 2006, and has sung in the Choir of the Hungarian Radio as well as in the Male Choir of the Hungarian Army. Since 2011 he has been  a member of the National National Philharmonic Choir. He regularly sings with other professional choirs, too, such as the Purcell Choir (conductor: György Vashegyi) and with the jazz a cappella band Octovoice. He can often be heard as a soloist in oratories performed in churches or in concert halls. He made his debute as a solo opera singer in 2010 in F. Erkel's István király in the roles of Vencellin and Kikiáltó. He has already sung these roles many times so far. He has also sung all the bass roles of W. A. Mozart's Magic Flute. He sang Osmin in The Abduction from the Seraglio, the Haushofmeister in R. Strauss' Capriccio as well as the Nightwatchman in R. Wagner's The Mastersingers of Nuremberg in the Palace of Arts in 2012.
